Ludwigia inclinata var. verticillata 'Pantanal' is a vivid stem plant known for bright orange-red foliage that holds up well once its light and CO2 needs are met.
High lighting is what keeps this plant's color intense — aim for 8–10 hours a day with a quality LED or fluorescent fixture. Under weaker light it fades toward green and stretches instead of filling out.
A nutrient-rich substrate, such as aquasoil or a sand-and-gravel mix with added root nutrition, supports healthy root growth and steadier color.
Pantanal tolerates a decent range but does best in slightly acidic to neutral water, pH 6.0–7.5, with stable temperature — avoid letting the tank swing hot or cold.
Regular dosing with a quality planted-tank fertilizer, particularly one with iron, keeps growth healthy and color vivid. This is a fast grower under good conditions and will use up nutrients quickly.
Trim regularly to control size and shape and remove yellowing or dead leaves — regular trimming also encourages bushier, more colorful new growth from the cut points.
Our Ludwigia Pantanal ships as healthy fresh-cut stems ready to plant directly into a nutrient-rich substrate.
Pantanal is a peaceful plant that gets along with most tankmates. Avoid aggressive fish species that may nibble on its leaves, since the delicate foliage that makes it attractive also makes it an easy target.
Clean, healthy plants and expert guidance for thriving, beautiful aquascapes.

Hi! I just read an article published 8/14/23 about growing Ludwiga Panatal, but the plant isn’t for sale. Will it be available soon?
