Anubias White Platinum Petite is a rare and exquisite variety of the popular Anubias aquarium plant, known for its stunning albino white leaves. Native to Africa, this compact plant adds an elegant touch to any aquascape with its unique coloration and manageable size. Ideal for midground or foreground placement, Anubias White Platinum Petite is a challenging plant to grow, thriving best in low-light conditions, making it suitable for experienced aquarists.

Key Features:

  • Albino White Leaves: Features striking white leaves that add a touch of elegance and uniqueness to your aquarium.
  • Compact Size: A petite version of Anubias, perfect for creating intricate and detailed aquascapes.
  • Slow Growth: This plant grows very slowly and requires specific care to thrive.

Optimal Conditions:

  • Lighting: Thrives in low to moderate lighting conditions, making it suitable for shaded areas within the aquarium.
  • Water Parameters: Prefers stable water conditions with a neutral pH. Regular monitoring and maintenance are essential for its health.

Planting and Care:

  • Attachment: Can be attached to rocks, driftwood, or other decorations using fishing line or thread.
  • Rhizome Placement: Ensure the rhizome (the thick stem from which leaves emerge) is not buried in the substrate to prevent rot. Attach it to a solid surface or plant it with the rhizome above the substrate.
  • Fertilization and Pruning: Requires minimal fertilizer and occasional pruning to maintain its size and shape. Patience is key due to its slow growth rate.

Benefits:

  • Aesthetic Appeal: Enhances the visual appeal of any aquarium with its elegant and rare albino white leaves.
  • Unique Addition: Its rarity and unique coloration make it a standout choice for aquarists looking to add a sophisticated touch to their aquascape.

Challenges:

  • Difficult to Grow: This species is known to be hard to grow and maintain, requiring careful attention and stable conditions.
  • Slow Growth: Grows very slowly, so it demands patience and consistent care from aquarists.

Conclusion:

Anubias White Platinum Petite is a beautiful and challenging plant that can add a unique and elegant touch to any aquarium. Its hardiness, slow growth, and striking albino white leaves make it a standout choice for experienced aquarists looking to enhance their aquascape with a rare and sophisticated plant.

The Anubias White Platinum Petite is definitely named correctly! It is tiny! If I had purchased this plant for my aquarium I would be very upset at how small the specimen I received was. My partner opened the package and said it’s empty! I came in to the room and saw that he had dropped the little bag on the floor! I expected a small plant judging from the photo, but my plant is smaller. Since I ordered it for a terrarium it works. I can’t in good faith give it a 5 star review.

Anubias White Platinum Petite Tissue Culture are hard to grow! Not good value!

Anubias White Platinum Petite Tissue Culture are hard to grow! I had purchased Buy2/Get 1 Free plus an order of tissue cultureI Grow them in rich substrate of Fluval Stratum - both buried and floating on top - in medium to high lights. You hold your breath and admire them for 1-2 months as a rose. And then they all perished, melt away, reduced to a stump! Photos are of what left of carcasses near center. They were grown in my 55 gallons and in 1/2 gallon hemisphere.

Never knew these existed! They arrived healthy without any damaged leaves or rhizome. Thank you!
