Ludwigia sphaerocarpa in Vitro Culture® – Rare Rosette-Like Stem Plant with Orange-Red Underwater Coloration
Ludwigia sphaerocarpa, also known as the Roundfruit Primrose Willow, is a rare and distinctive Ludwigia species native to the wetlands of southwestern North America. Though long known in the scientific community, it is a relatively new addition to the aquarium hobby, prized for its compact, rosette-like growth, thick horizontal stems, and dramatic color shift when grown submerged. Under high light and CO₂, its submerged leaves develop intense orange to reddish-brown hues, while its emersed form remains green and more shrub-like.
Now available in our sterile Vitro Culture® 4-inch bag, this plant is cultivated using Tissue Culture Technology to ensure a 100% pest-free, algae-free, and pesticide-free start—ideal for sensitive ecosystems such as shrimp tanks and precision aquascapes.
