Ammannia crassicaulis (formerly sold under the name Nesaea) is an elegant stem plant admired for its graceful form and rich, warm coloration. At Aquarium Plants Factory®, we cultivate this species in its emersed form, where the leaves appear green. Once transitioned to submerged growth under intense lighting, CO₂ injection, and nutrient-rich conditions, the plant develops stunning bronze, orange, and red tones, making it a beautiful focal plant for advanced aquascapes.
While similar to Ammannia gracilis, this variety displays a softer, golden-bronze hue instead of bright red. It thrives best when stems are spaced apart to allow proper water movement and light penetration.
