Ammannia Crassicaulis

Format: Fresh-cut Potted

Price
$19.99

Ammannia Crassicaulis (Ammannia crassicaulis), formerly sold as Nesaea, is an elegant stem plant admired for its graceful form and rich coloration — green when grown emersed, developing bronze, orange, and red tones once transitioned to submerged growth under intense light and CO₂.

Care at a glance

  • Light: Intense
  • CO₂: Strongly recommended
  • Substrate: Required (nutrient-rich)
  • Growth Rate: Moderately fast
  • Can Be Grown Emersed?: Yes
  • Native To: Africa and Madagascar

What You'll Receive

  • Fresh Cut Plants: Includes approximately 6+ loose, fresh-cut stems without roots.
  • Fresh Cut Bunched: Approximately 6+ stems bundled with foam and a plant weight for easy placement.
  • Fresh Cut Potted: About 6+ stems potted in a net pot with rockwool, providing stability and healthy growth.

Transition note: When moving from emersed to submerged growth, older leaves may melt back — this is normal. New underwater growth will appear with bronze-red coloration under strong light and CO₂. Never release aquarium plants into natural waterways.
