The foam itself is fine, but the cuts are terrible. The pieces are very uneven and inconsistent in size, which is disappointing considering the price.

So I received my shipment of 3 “rolls” of APF white plant foam, since I’m a home hobbyist it’s not a big deal, but if I owned a store and I was ordering this item to stock my shelves, I’d be irritated. I opened the shipping box to find 3 loose pieces of foam strips wadded up in a ball and shoved on the box with a return address sticker. ZERO packaging for this item. I guess I feel like if you are gonna skimp on that and ship it how you did, it should only cost a few bucks not $15.

I have horse face loaches & if ya have a substrate which is small enough. (In my case I’m using pool filter sand) Anyway, the loaches will drive down into the sand & completely disappear. They actually swim thru / under the sand half the time. In turn they uproot any plant w/ a small root system.
After purchasing some plants, I realized that they also sell the foam as well as plant weights individually & the foam really protects the plant base & allows for a plant weight to be rapped around the foam which in turn is rapped around the base of the plant. (Geezie Pete! That was difficult to put into words) I hope that makes sense.
It’s definitely the ideal live plant base protector.
