Easy Low-Light Beginner Aquarium Plant Bundle (Grower's Choice)

Format: 6 Assorted Species – Fresh Cut Loose

Price
$29.99

Most planted-tank failures start at the shop, not the tank — a beginner buys plants that need CO₂ and 60 PAR of light, then watches them melt under a hood lamp. This bundle is the opposite approach: only species that grow well in a standard low-tech tank, chosen fresh by our growers each week.

What You'll Receive

Each bundle is unique and hand-picked based on current seasonal health to ensure you get the best plants available that week. Your package will include a mix of the following beginner-safe favorites:

  • A Diverse Mix: You will receive a balanced variety of species to help create a natural, layered look in your aquarium.
  • Expertly Selected: Our team picks plants known for their hardiness and ability to thrive in low-light, no-CO2 environments.
  • Grower's Choice Selection: To keep this bundle affordable and fresh, individual plants are not labeled by name. This allows our growers to focus on selecting the most robust specimens available each day.
  • Surprise Variety: Expect a beautiful assortment of leaf shapes and textures that provide instant life and filtration to your tank.

Choose Your Format

  • Fresh Cut (Loose): Best for DIY planting and custom scaping.
  • Fresh Cut (Bunched): Pre-weighted clusters for easy placement.
  • Fresh Cut (Potted): The easiest option—simply drop them into your substrate and watch them grow.

Care

  • Difficulty — Beginner throughout; nothing in this bundle is demanding
  • Light — Low to medium; a standard LED hood light run 6-8 hours a day is enough
  • CO₂ — Not required
  • Substrate — Works in plain gravel or sand; root tabs improve results for the rooted species
  • Fertilizer — A basic all-in-one liquid once a week is plenty

Grower's Notes

  • Six to eight hours of light, not twelve. The most common beginner mistake is running lights longer to make plants grow faster. Longer photoperiods feed algae, not plants. Put the light on a timer and leave it alone.
  • The first week looks worse before it looks better. Several of these species are grown emersed for health and shipping. Expect some leaf change or loss as they convert to underwater growth — the new leaves are the ones that count.
  • Plant potted stems properly. You can sink the net pot straight into the substrate, but removing the rockwool and planting the stems individually gives faster rooting and a fuller look.
  • Do not chase test numbers yet. Every species here tolerates a wide range of pH and hardness. Consistent weekly water changes matter far more at this stage than hitting a specific parameter.
  • Give it eight weeks before judging it. Low-tech tanks establish slowly. A bundle that looks sparse on day three usually looks like a planted tank by week eight without you doing anything differently.

Notes

  • Photos are sample representations only. The exact species, size, and appearance will vary with each package. We do not guarantee plants will be pest-free, pesticide-free, or fully submerged-grown unless explicitly stated.
  • Every bundle is screened by our team so that we do not include species known to be invasive in your state.
  • Never release aquarium plants into natural waterways.

What We Guarantee

24-Hour Live Arrival Guarantee — We guarantee that live plants and live aquatic animals will arrive alive. In the rare case of a Dead on Arrival (DOA), you must notify us within 24 hours of the delivery time recorded on the carrier's official tracking page. The guarantee is void after that 24-hour window, as condition can no longer be attributed to transit.

How to Submit a Claim

  1. Take at least 2 clear, well-lit photos of the affected items in their original, unopened, sealed packaging, plus a photo of the shipping label on the box.
  2. Email your photos and order number to hello@aquariumplantsfactory.com within 24 hours of delivery.
  3. Do not photograph plants or animals after they have been unpacked, planted, or introduced to your aquarium — once an item enters your aquarium's ecosystem, it is no longer covered.

Approved claims are resolved with a replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion, under the terms of our Refund Policy. Each item is eligible for one replacement only — replacements are final and we cannot replace a replacement.

Conditions That Void the Guarantee

  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping address (vacant address, missing apartment number, or any issue that prevents delivery)
  • Packages marked "invalid address," "undeliverable," refused, or returned to sender
  • Packages left unclaimed, held at a carrier facility at the customer's request, or not retrieved promptly after delivery — live goods must be brought indoors and unpacked the day they arrive
  • Carrier delays, weather events, or delivery exceptions once the package has left our facility
  • Shipments to freight forwarders or package-forwarding services

Providing accurate, complete shipping information and monitoring your tracking are essential to keeping your guarantee valid.

Please note: the Live Arrival Guarantee covers arrival only. We cannot guarantee ongoing success — aquarium environment, water quality, nutrients, temperature, lighting, filtration, and CO2 all affect long-term results.

What We Can't Guarantee

  1. Pest-free plants (potted & bare-root): Although our plants are grown in our own clean greenhouse, we cannot guarantee they are 100% free of snails, algae, or other hitchhikers. We recommend rinsing and quarantining all plants before adding them to your aquarium. Tissue culture (in vitro) plants are the exception — they are grown in sterile lab conditions, are 100% free of pests, algae, and disease, and have never been in contact with any aquarium.
  2. Pesticide-free plants: We use homemade, organic pest control in our greenhouse and never use copper-based pesticides, which are toxic to invertebrates such as snails, crabs, and shrimp. However, we cannot guarantee plants are entirely pesticide-free — always rinse and quarantine before use in invertebrate tanks.
  3. Your aquarium's success: We are not responsible for your aquarium inhabitants, including fish, shrimp, snails, and turtles. Please quarantine all plants before use.
  4. Growth form: Unless specified, we do not guarantee plants will grow emersed or submersed in your particular setup.

Please review your state's regulations on restricted plants, as we are committed to not shipping plants that are restricted in your area. Do not release any plants into the wild or waterways, as this can harm local ecosystems by introducing invasive species.

Your cooperation in protecting the environment is appreciated. For continuously updated information, refer to the USDA State Noxious Weed list here.

Thank you for your responsible commitment to environmental preservation.
