Most planted-tank failures start at the shop, not the tank — a beginner buys plants that need CO₂ and 60 PAR of light, then watches them melt under a hood lamp. This bundle is the opposite approach: only species that grow well in a standard low-tech tank, chosen fresh by our growers each week.

Care

• Difficulty — Beginner throughout; nothing in this bundle is demanding
• Light — Low to medium; a standard LED hood light run 6-8 hours a day is enough
• CO₂ — Not required
• Substrate — Works in plain gravel or sand; root tabs improve results for the rooted species
• Fertilizer — A basic all-in-one liquid once a week is plenty

Grower's Notes

• Six to eight hours of light, not twelve. The most common beginner mistake is running lights longer to make plants grow faster. Longer photoperiods feed algae, not plants. Put the light on a timer and leave it alone.
• The first week looks worse before it looks better. Several of these species are grown emersed for health and shipping. Expect some leaf change or loss as they convert to underwater growth — the new leaves are the ones that count.
• Plant potted stems properly. You can sink the net pot straight into the substrate, but removing the rockwool and planting the stems individually gives faster rooting and a fuller look.
• Do not chase test numbers yet. Every species here tolerates a wide range of pH and hardness. Consistent weekly water changes matter far more at this stage than hitting a specific parameter.
• Give it eight weeks before judging it. Low-tech tanks establish slowly. A bundle that looks sparse on day three usually looks like a planted tank by week eight without you doing anything differently.

• Tell us within 24 hours of the delivery time on your tracking.
• Send photos of the affected items in their original, unopened packaging, plus a photo of the shipping label, to hello@aquariumplantsfactory.com with your order number.

Good to know

• Some melting or yellowing as plants adjust from greenhouse to aquarium life is normal. They regrow from healthy roots and rhizomes.
• Please bring your package indoors and unpack it the day it arrives.
