Aragon is one of the compact Bucephalandra varieties — small dark leaves on a tight rhizome, slow enough that a single piece holds its shape on a rock for years. Like every Buce it wants attaching rather than planting, and very little else.

Grower's Notes
- Expect roughly an inch of growth per year. Bucephalandra is among the slowest plants sold. Most arrive around 2-3 inches and stay close to that for a long time — which is exactly why it holds a scape's composition without trimming.
- Never bury the rhizome. The horizontal stem must sit in open water, tied or glued to a surface. Buried, it rots, and a plant this slow does not grow back from that in a season.
- Keep the light low. Slow growth means algae settles before the plant can outgrow it. Low to medium light gives cleaner leaves and better color.
- It suits a nano tank. At two to four inches, Aragon works in a shrimp tank or small scape where a larger Buce would dominate.
- Melt after shipping is normal. Leaves may drop in the first fortnight while the rhizome settles. Leave it attached and undisturbed — new growth comes from the rhizome, not the old leaves.

I've never bought buce as a bunched plant before most of the leaves were very healthy but some plants were so small that there was barely a root system. They should be fine since the ryzome looks healthy. I just prefer how mats are more sturdy and have many roots already. Pic shows each plant glued to wood running across the top of the tank (still floating).

They came in seemingly very healthy and were nicely packaged to prevent them from drying out. The bunched plants came with a couple little plants in the bunch, which was especially appreciated given how small they are. While I obviously wasn't expecting the exact plant shown in the product picture, I was thinking the plants I'd get would be around the same size but they're a little less than half as big as what seem to be advertised as.
However, aside from being much smaller than expected, I'm very satisfied with this product so far (they've been in the tank for a few days now) and would recommend it.
