Brazilian Pennywort 'Variegated' - Aquarium Plants Factory

Brazilian Pennywort Marble

Emersed Growth: Fresh-cut Plants

Price
$14.99

Brazilian Pennywort is already one of the easiest stem plants sold. The marbled form keeps that and adds cream and pale green streaking across those round, lily-pad leaves — rare-looking foliage on a plant that grows fast enough to fill space in weeks.

What You'll Receive

Fresh, healthy Brazilian Pennywort Marble cultivated and prepared by Aquarium Plants Factory®, available in convenient planting formats:

  • Fresh Cut Plants: Approximately 4 fresh-cut stems without roots.
  • Fresh Cut Bunched: Approximately 4 stems bundled with foam and a plant weight for easy placement.
  • Fresh Cut Potted: About 4 stems potted securely in a net pot with rockwool for stability and easy planting.

Grower's Notes

  • Variegated does not mean difficult here. Pennywort grows fast enough to carry the loss of chlorophyll without slowing down. It stays a beginner plant — the marbling costs you nothing in difficulty.
  • Solid green stems will appear. Any variegated plant can revert, and green growth is more efficient so it spreads if left. Cut reverted stems out at the base as you spot them.
  • It grows in three directions. Planted it climbs, floated it spreads across the surface, and laid against hardscape it creeps. Decide which you want and trim to enforce it — left alone it does all three at once.
  • Every node roots. Cut anywhere and both halves grow. Four stems become a dense patch within a couple of months with nothing more than scissors.
  • Floating stems shade what is below. The leaves are broad and they cover a surface fast. Keep it trimmed back if there is anything light-hungry underneath.

Notes

  • Live aquatic plants may show minor cosmetic differences due to natural growth variation. Images are for reference only. Some melting or adjustment may occur as the plant transitions to your aquarium environment.
  • Never release aquarium plants into natural waterways.

What We Guarantee

24-Hour Live Arrival Guarantee — We guarantee that live plants and live aquatic animals will arrive alive. In the rare case of a Dead on Arrival (DOA), you must notify us within 24 hours of the delivery time recorded on the carrier's official tracking page. The guarantee is void after that 24-hour window, as condition can no longer be attributed to transit.

How to Submit a Claim

  1. Take at least 2 clear, well-lit photos of the affected items in their original, unopened, sealed packaging, plus a photo of the shipping label on the box.
  2. Email your photos and order number to hello@aquariumplantsfactory.com within 24 hours of delivery.
  3. Do not photograph plants or animals after they have been unpacked, planted, or introduced to your aquarium — once an item enters your aquarium's ecosystem, it is no longer covered.

Approved claims are resolved with a replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion, under the terms of our Refund Policy. Each item is eligible for one replacement only — replacements are final and we cannot replace a replacement.

Conditions That Void the Guarantee

  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping address (vacant address, missing apartment number, or any issue that prevents delivery)
  • Packages marked "invalid address," "undeliverable," refused, or returned to sender
  • Packages left unclaimed, held at a carrier facility at the customer's request, or not retrieved promptly after delivery — live goods must be brought indoors and unpacked the day they arrive
  • Carrier delays, weather events, or delivery exceptions once the package has left our facility
  • Shipments to freight forwarders or package-forwarding services

Providing accurate, complete shipping information and monitoring your tracking are essential to keeping your guarantee valid.

Please note: the Live Arrival Guarantee covers arrival only. We cannot guarantee ongoing success — aquarium environment, water quality, nutrients, temperature, lighting, filtration, and CO2 all affect long-term results.

What We Can't Guarantee

  1. Pest-free plants (potted & bare-root): Although our plants are grown in our own clean greenhouse, we cannot guarantee they are 100% free of snails, algae, or other hitchhikers. We recommend rinsing and quarantining all plants before adding them to your aquarium. Tissue culture (in vitro) plants are the exception — they are grown in sterile lab conditions, are 100% free of pests, algae, and disease, and have never been in contact with any aquarium.
  2. Pesticide-free plants: We use homemade, organic pest control in our greenhouse and never use copper-based pesticides, which are toxic to invertebrates such as snails, crabs, and shrimp. However, we cannot guarantee plants are entirely pesticide-free — always rinse and quarantine before use in invertebrate tanks.
  3. Your aquarium's success: We are not responsible for your aquarium inhabitants, including fish, shrimp, snails, and turtles. Please quarantine all plants before use.
  4. Growth form: Unless specified, we do not guarantee plants will grow emersed or submersed in your particular setup.

Please review your state's regulations on restricted plants, as we are committed to not shipping plants that are restricted in your area. Do not release any plants into the wild or waterways, as this can harm local ecosystems by introducing invasive species.

Your cooperation in protecting the environment is appreciated. For continuously updated information, refer to the USDA State Noxious Weed list here.

Thank you for your responsible commitment to environmental preservation.

This is a lovely plant that deserves more attention

The plant arrived healthy and in excellent condition. I purchased these knowing that I sometimes do not like the appearance of variegated plants. However, the color of these are very nice. As another reviewer points out, their color is a lighter than shown (maybe as they mature the color will deepen), however, I also prefer this light color for contrast. The plant looks etherial and almost otherworldly. Typically, I assume that many light colors will look anemic but this color and the plant's forms is gorgeous. Unfortunately, I keep a water environment without a substrate and I made a mistake in purchasing this plant since it is described as needing a substrate. I assume the plants will slowly dissolve and disappear, but it remains suspended in water looking healthy for now and I am enjoying it.

Great!

I was a little bit worried about buying these because they had not been reviewed. However, I am so pleased I did buy them. I got a bunch with more stems than expected, and they are great additions to the tank! The leaves are more pale than the ones in the picture above, a pale green with white, but it doesn't bother me, they provide a great contrast to the darker colors of the plants I already have. Overall a great experience, I would buy these again!
