Lobelia Cardinalis Wavy is a slow-growing, compact aquarium plant distinguished by its beautifully curled, ruffled leaf edges. This hardy selection of the Cardinal Flower has a very bushy underwater growth form, making it ideal for smaller aquariums and precise aquascaping layouts. While its leaf size is similar to the original Lobelia cardinalis, its denser, more compact habit offers a unique texture and structure for your tank.
At Aquarium Plants Factory nursery, we cultivate Lobelia Cardinalis Wavy in its emersed form, where the tops of the leaves display a fresh green hue while the undersides show a striking red-purple color. When grown submerged, the foliage transitions to lush green, with its distinctive wavy edges adding visual interest. This variety is still relatively new and rarely available in the aquarium trade, making it a sought-after choice for collectors and aquascaping enthusiasts.
