Carpeting is a numbers game. Eleocharis sp. 'Mini' spreads by runners, but the fastest route to a finished carpet is planting many small clumps close together rather than waiting for a few to fill the gaps. This bulk pack gives you 10, 20 or 30 clumps at volume pricing — the practical way to carpet a large foreground in one go.

Each portion consists of approximately one small clump measuring about 1" x 1" inches.

For best results, separate each clump into smaller portions and plant them a short distance apart to encourage faster carpet formation.

Grower’s Notes
- Split every clump before planting. A 1" x 1" clump divides into six or eight small tufts. Planted half an inch apart, those tufts close ranks far faster than the intact clump would spread — so the bulk pack effectively covers several times its own area.
- Trim the carpet once. Cutting the blades back after it establishes triggers a flush of new runners and thickens the mat.
- Mini stays shorter than standard Dwarf Hairgrass and needs less trimming to stay flat — the reason to pay for the Mini form.
- Feed at the roots. Runner production stalls without a nutrient substrate or root tabs.
- Emersed-grown blades often melt back in the first two weeks. The submerged regrowth is what carpets.

Looked amazing when arrived and so far thriving from our dry start. Just filled the tank about 2 weeks after I received the order and hopefully it all goes well. I have previously had a hard time keeping aquatic grass alive.

lots of yellowing blades. currently in tank with c02,, lots of melt compared to the standard tissue culture that i had also purchases here. those are doing fantastic. IMO not worth it. better off at petco where you can see the plant when you purchase.

The plants arrived in excellent condition. They were partitioned into individual bags and heat sealed to prevent leaks in transit. The package was was insulated and stuffed well with newspaper. Several days later, they are thriving and I have already placed an additional order for more. That second order, however, I failed to update the address and submitted an old address. I emailed them immediately describing my mistake and they promptly responded within an hour or so and corrected the shipping address per my request.
