Hydrocotyle Tripartita Mini Variegated Vitro Culture

Pack: 1 Bag

Price
$29.99

The same fine three-lobed clover as the standard Mini, splashed with white and cream instead of solid green. Hydrocotyle tripartita 'Mini Variegated' keeps the dwarf 1–2 inch height and creeping habit of the Mini form, just with foliage that reads lighter and more textured across a carpet. This is the sterile Vitro Culture® format.

What You'll Receive

Each bag is a 4-inch Vitro Culture® portion of Hydrocotyle Tripartita Mini Variegated, grown in sterile tissue-culture conditions and ready to rinse, separate, and plant directly into your substrate.

Available in the following formats:

  • Pack of 1 Bag
  • Pack of 5 Bags
  • Pack of 10 Bags

  • Also known as — Hydrocotyle sp. 'Japan' Mini Variegated, Variegated Mini Clover Plant

  • Growth rate — Moderate

Care

  • Difficulty — Intermediate
  • Light — Medium to high. Light is what keeps it flat rather than climbing
  • CO₂ — Recommended
  • Water — 68–82°F · pH 6.0–7.5
  • Substrate — Required. Nutrient substrate or root tabs
  • Growth habit — Amphibious. Also grows emersed
  • Propagation — Runners — cut and replant sections

Grower's Notes

  • Variegation means less chlorophyll per leaf. It fills in a bit slower than the solid-green Mini, and color holds best under stronger light.
  • Rinse the gel off completely and separate into small portions before planting. Runners only travel into open substrate, so spacing decides how fast it closes.
  • Pin fresh portions down with weights or tweezers until roots grab; loose sections float free.
  • Trim runners every few weeks or it crosses into neighboring plants.
  • Compare with the solid-green Hydrocotyle Tripartita Mini Vitro Culture if you want faster, lower-maintenance coverage.

Notes

  • Slight melting or yellowing may occur as the plant transitions into your aquarium environment. With strong lighting and CO₂, the plant will adapt and send out new runners quickly.
  • Never release aquarium plants into natural waterways.
