Grower’s Notes

• Leaf shape changes and that's normal. Tissue culture plantlets are grown emersed with simple rounded leaves. Submerged, the plant produces the deeply cut lacy foliage it's known for. New buyers often think they've been sent the wrong plant — wait for the second flush.
• Use it as an algae counter in a new tank. Fast growth means it consumes the nutrients algae would otherwise take while slower plants establish.
• Trim and replant tops. Every cutting roots within days, so one bag furnishes a background.
• Space stems an inch apart. Bunched, the lower leaves shade out and drop.
• Rinse the gel off completely before planting or it clouds water and feeds algae early on.

Notes

• Tissue culture plants are grown emersed in sterile laboratory conditions. After planting in the aquarium, plants may transition to submerged growth and develop new leaves adapted to underwater conditions. This transition is normal and indicates healthy acclimation.
• Never release aquarium plants into natural waterways.
