Ludwigia Super Red Mini | Bulk Pack

Red without a CO₂ cylinder — and without needing strong light either. Ludwigia Super Red Mini colors up reliably even under medium light, where most red stem plants fade to green. The leaf is smaller than standard Super Red, though the stem itself still grows tall if left untrimmed. This is the bulk pack: 50, 100 or 200 fresh-cut stems for filling a background or stocking a shop tank in one go.

Grower's Notes

• Plant stems individually, not in the bundle they arrive in. Space them roughly an inch apart. Bunched together the lower stems shade out and rot, which is the usual reason a large planting thins from the bottom.
• It isn't a compact plant — the stem grows tall like other Ludwigia if left untrimmed. The smaller leaf is what makes this cultivar distinct, not a smaller overall size; regular trimming keeps a bulk planting at the height you want.
• Buy the volume rather than waiting for it. A dense red group is made by planting many stems close together, not by waiting for a few to bush out — which is the whole case for a bulk pack over a single portion.
• Needs nutrient-rich substrate to look its best; iron and substrate feeding drive color more than CO₂ does. No enriched substrate on hand is fine too — switch to a liquid nutrient dosing schedule instead.
• Expect a transition. Emersed-grown stems arrive greener and may drop some lower leaves as they convert to submerged growth — new growth from the tips is what to judge it on.
