Microsorum pteropus ‘Narrow Mini’, also known as Java Fern Narrow Mini, is an exceptionally compact cultivar of the classic Java Fern, featuring slender, upright leaves and a tight, miniature growth form. This rare variety is ideal for aquascapers working with nano tanks, foreground accents, or detailed hardscape compositions where precision and scale are key.
At Aquarium Plants Factory, we grow this variety emersed to ensure a healthy and adaptable start. Once introduced to your aquarium, Narrow Mini transitions smoothly into submerged growth. Its thin, upright leaves create a graceful yet unobtrusive visual effect, adding refined texture to your aquascape without overpowering surrounding plants.
As a rhizome plant, Java Fern Narrow Mini should be attached to driftwood, stone, or hardscape, and never buried in substrate. This slow-growing, low-maintenance fern is perfect for low-tech aquariums and makes an excellent choice for aquarists seeking elegance in miniature form.
