As with most rosette plants, Samolus parviflorus 'Red' may experience a brief adjustment period (known as “melt”) after planting. Trim away melted portions and provide stable lighting, CO₂, and nutrients to encourage healthy new growth.

However, plants in tissue culture will be 100% free from pests, algae and never have been contacting with any aquarium.
