Tissue Culture Plants Package [Grower’s Choice] – Premium Variety Pack

Five or ten sealed tissue culture packs, chosen by our growers. Every pack is lab-grown and sterile, so nothing arrives carrying snails, algae spores or pathogens — which is the whole reason to start a tank this way.

What You’ll Receive

  • Choose 5 or 10 Random Packs: Each package includes a grower-selected mix of popular and rare tissue culture aquarium plants.
  • Species Are Unlabeled: Plants are selected at random—specific species cannot be requested and packs will not be labeled.
  • Size Varies by Species: Plant size and volume will vary depending on the growth habit of each species.
  • Each sealed, sterile pack is approximately 4 inches in size, yielding numerous small starter plants.

Why Tissue Culture

  • Sterile and lab-grown — no snails, no algae, no pathogens
  • Safe for shrimp tanks and quarantine-free setups
  • Each pack yields many small plants rather than one specimen
  • Sealed packs keep for weeks under indirect light before you open them

Care

  • Difficulty — Beginner to Intermediate across the mix
  • Light — Medium suits the widest range of species
  • CO₂ — Not required; the mix works in low-tech and high-tech tanks
  • Substrate — Recommended for the rooting species

Grower’s Notes

  • Rinse the nutrient gel off completely before planting. Left on the roots it clouds the water and feeds a bacterial bloom in a new tank.
  • Divide each pack into small portions rather than planting it as one clump. A single 4-inch pack should give you a dozen or more planting units — that is where the value is.
  • Expect transitional melt in the first one to two weeks. Tissue culture plants are grown emersed and shed those leaves as they convert to submersed growth. New growth follows.
  • Plant the small portions closer together than feels right. Tissue culture starts are tiny, and spacing them like mature plants leaves a sparse tank for months.
  • Unopened packs store well. If you can't plant them all at once, keep the sealed packs under indirect light and open them as you go.

Notes

  • Species are selected by our growers based on availability and are not labeled. Specific species cannot be requested.
  • Photos are for reference; species, size and volume vary with every package.
  • Never release aquarium plants into natural waterways.

Somewhat dissapointing

3 of the plants, i liked, one arrived dead (the very fine bubbly yellow one), and one nearly dead, but hopefully will recover. I would also have aprecciated some more common popular aquarist plants regardless if they are cheaper or not than some of the ones provided. I think four common, hardy decent looking plants and maybe one kind of cool rareish one would be much more exciting to receive as this order felt like it was just dumping unpopular stock. Non-variety pack plants looked healthy, however this variety pack will likely be your first impression with many newer aquarists, so i would highly reccomend you change the way its assembled for the sake of gaining returning customers. Thanks for the great plants outside the variety pack, but I will never be purchasing it again.
