Want an Anubias almost nobody stocks? Anubias 'Jalapeño' is a rare hybrid between Anubias 'Chili' and Anubias Minima Variegated — compact, narrow-leaved, and carrying traits from both parents. Some plants show variegation, some do not.
What You’ll Receive

- Pictures are not the actual plants you will receive, but a sample representation.

Grower’s Notes
- Variegation is not guaranteed. Jalapeño inherits from a variegated parent, so some plants carry pale marbling and others come through plain green. Both are correct for this hybrid — it is not a mislabelled plant if yours arrives unmarked.
- Never bury the rhizome. Roots can go into substrate; the rhizome cannot. Buried, it rots — the most common way an Anubias is lost.
- It feeds from both the water column and its roots, so it does well attached to hardscape with no substrate at all.
- Keep it shaded. Slow growth means algae settles faster than the plant replaces the leaf.
- Divide with a clean blade, keeping at least three leaves per section.

- Never release aquarium plants into natural waterways.

Despite being delayed due to inclement weather all the plants arrived healthy in their heat pack. I’d order again from plantsfactory.com. Super quality plants!

As title says, not much variegated foliage. I'll have to try a few things to see if I can't get more. No regrets at the sale price though.

As a lover of spicy things I was elated to find an aquatic plant named after a pepper. Plant came in super healthy and very good size. I'm not seeing any variegation yet but I have it under short duration-low light currently. This was my first experience with APF and I am very impressed.

Plants arrived in excellent condition full of healthy green leaves.
Very pleased with quality of the plants in general.

I’m always searching for “something different” in the Anubias species. This plant is it. The plant has only been in my aquarium for a few days but it really is striking. Some leaves do have some variegation in them. Of course it is too soon to determine if it will produce more. I’m testing in both my low light tank and my high light tank. It came potted with long white roots and at least 4 plants with 6-15 leaves each. I will update if anything changes. The other plants came in fantastically as well

purchased 3 Anubias jalapeno. Arrived quickly and all were healthy

rare anibias, arrive healthy and as described
M
Wow!! Super impressed with the quality on this purchase. The size of the plant, the health, just incredible! I thought for sure it would be a small cutting, just rooted in. But this came in just like the picture, full in the pot,and well established. I went into this purchase knowing that with this weird state of the world, my order may take a little longer...and it did! Six days later my order came and I was ready to submit a claim. They were acclimated nicely for shipping, came in an insulated box and looking like I just bought them down the street. I will be ordering again from the Aquarium Plant Factory. You folks exceeded my expectations! Kudos!
