Anubias Peacock | Bulk Pack

Format: Bare-root Plants Pack: 5 Plants

Price
$25.99

Anubias almost always means round or oval leaves. 'Peacock' is the exception — elongated, pointed foliage that fans out from the rhizome, with the same thick waxy surface as the rest of the genus. This is the bulk pack, for covering a large piece of hardscape at once.

What You'll Receive

Healthy Anubias Peacock plants cultivated by Aquarium Plants Factory®, available in bulk pack sizes:

5 Plants: Loose bare-root plants with approximately 4+ leaves per plant
10 Plants: Loose bare-root plants with approximately 4+ leaves per plant
20 Plants: Loose bare-root plants with approximately 4+ leaves per plant

Plant size may vary depending on the season and growing conditions, but every plant will have at least 4 healthy leaves.

Plant Profile

  • Difficulty — Beginner
  • Light — Low to moderate
  • CO₂ — Not required
  • Water — 72-82°F, pH 6.0-7.5

  • Propagation — Rhizome division

Grower's Notes

  • Buy coverage, do not wait for it. A single Anubias adds a few leaves a year. Twenty plants spread across a piece of wood look established the day they go in; one plant never will. That is the whole argument for buying in bulk.
  • Pointed leaves break up a wall of green. Massed Anubias can look like one undifferentiated clump. The spear shape of 'Peacock' gives a large planting internal texture without changing the care routine.
  • Space them further apart than looks right. Each rhizome needs water movement around it. Where rhizomes press together, detritus collects and rot starts.
  • Never bury the rhizome. Attach with cotton thread or a spot of gel glue; the roots grip the wood themselves within a couple of months.
  • The leathery leaves are usually left alone by fish, which makes a bulk Anubias planting one of the few that works in a goldfish or cichlid tank.

Notes

Live aquarium plants may experience minor cosmetic changes during shipping or when transitioning between emersed and submerged growth forms. This is completely normal, and plants typically adapt quickly once placed in proper aquarium conditions.

Never release aquarium plants into natural waterways.
