Anubias Petite White is one of the rarest Anubias in the trade — irregular white marbling across leaves under an inch across. This one arrives already mounted in a pre-drilled piece of boil-treated driftwood, so there is nothing to tie, glue or wait for.

• Difficulty — Advanced
• Light — Low to medium. Bright light scorches white tissue and feeds algae — see the note below.
• CO₂ — Not required. Stable conditions matter far more.
• Water — 72-82°F, pH 6.0-7.5
• Substrate — Not required. The wood sits on top; never bury it or press the rhizome down.
• Growth habit — Amphibious epiphyte; grows submersed or emersed

Grower's Notes

• White tissue carries no chlorophyll, which is what makes this Advanced. A heavily marbled leaf makes far less energy than a green one, so the plant grows very slowly, recovers badly from damage, and cannot outgrow algae on the pale areas. Keep it shaded and it will be fine; put it under a strong light and it will decline.
• It can revert. Variegated Anubias sometimes starts pushing plain green leaves. Remove fully green shoots promptly — green tissue photosynthesizes better and will gradually take the plant over.
• Set the wood on the substrate rather than pushing it in. The rhizome is already correctly positioned; buried, it rots, and this plant will not recover from that.
• The driftwood is boil-treated, so it releases minimal tannin and will not tint the water the way raw wood does.
• Because the piece is loose, you can move it to find the shadiest spot that still shows the marbling — use that before committing.
