Smaller than Petite. Anubias 'Super Petite' is a further selection down from the standard Anubias Petite — tighter leaves, tighter spacing, and a mature size of 1–3 inches. In a nano tank where regular Petite already looks large, this is the one that keeps the scale right.

Grower's notes
- Scale is the reason to pay more. On a small piece of wood in a 5-gallon tank, standard Petite reads as one big plant. Super Petite reads as a cluster — the difference between a nano scape that looks intentional and one that looks crowded.
- Never bury the rhizome. Glue or tie it down; roots can enter substrate, the rhizome cannot.
- Slow growth means very little maintenance, but damaged leaves stay damaged. Trim old leaves at the rhizome.
- Divide with a clean blade, keeping at least three leaves per section — small divisions on a plant this size recover slowly.
- Nurseries worldwide produce Anubias Petite, and forms vary. This is the smallest selection we grow.
How it arrives

Lab-grown plantlets in nutrient gel, free of snails, algae and pests.
- Keep it sealed at room temperature, out of direct sun, until you're ready to plant.
- Rinse off all the gel under lukewarm water. Left in the tank, it clouds the water and feeds algae.
- Split into small portions and plant with tweezers. Small portions spread faster than one big clump.
Normal: a little melt in the first weeks as underwater leaves replace the leaves grown in the lab.

The most stable option, with roots already established.
- Rinse the plant under clean water.
- Plant the pot as is, or ease the plant out and gently tease away the rockwool. Either way works.
- For epiphytes like Anubias and Bucephalandra, keep the rhizome above the substrate or tie it to wood or rock.

- Rest it on the substrate or press the base in slightly. Don't bury the top.
- A dormant bulb can take a few weeks to send up its first leaves.

- Pot it in a wide container of heavy garden soil, crown just above the soil.
- Start shallow and lower it deeper as the leaves grow.
- Give it full sun once the leaves reach the surface.

- Rinse the piece under clean water.
- Place it anywhere in your layout. No planting needed.
- Keep the rhizome out of the substrate.

All sales are final, so we don’t accept returns or exchanges once your order ships.

Can you cancel my order?

Are your plants free from pests, algae, and pesticides?
Our plants are very clean, but we can’t guarantee they will be 100% free of hitchhikers (snails, algae, pests), because we can’t be responsible for your aquarium. We recommend rinsing all plants with clean water and quarantining them before use.
Plants in our Tissue Culture collection are 100% free of pests and algae and have never been in contact with any aquarium.
We don’t guarantee our plants are free of pesticides. We use homemade, organic pesticides in our greenhouse to control pests, and never pesticides containing copper, which is toxic to invertebrates such as snails, crabs, and shrimp.
We don’t guarantee your aquarium’s success and aren’t responsible for its inhabitants, including but not limited to fish, shrimp, snails, and turtles. Please quarantine all plants before use!
Are your plants grown emersed or submerged?
It depends on the species. Most of our plants are grown hydroponically in a controlled-environment greenhouse.
Common stem plants such as Ludwigia, Bacopa, and Myriophyllum, and rheophyte/epiphyte plants (Anubias, Bucephalandra, Microsorum, Bolbitis, etc.) are grown emersed, hydroponically, in a controlled high-humidity environment.
True aquatic plants that can’t grow emersed — such as Vallisneria, Elodea, Najas, Cabomba, Potamogeton gayi, and Ceratophyllum demersum — are always cultivated submerged, underwater.
Should I remove the foam, weight, or pot before planting?
It’s totally up to you — we usually keep them as they are!
What’s the difference between fresh-cut, bare-root, and potted plants?
All options offer the same high quality; they differ in how they are prepared and packaged:
- Fresh-cut Plants: loose, freshly cut plants without roots. Great flexibility if you prefer to plant them your own way.
- Fresh-cut Bunched: freshly cut plants without roots, bundled with foam and a plant weight, ready to place in your aquarium.
- Fresh-cut Potted: freshly cut plants without roots, potted in a net pot with rockwool for stability and a quick setup.
- Bare-root Plants: loose, rooted plants you can position exactly where you want.
- Rooted Bunched: rooted plants bundled with foam and a plant weight — easy placement plus the stability of roots.
- Rooted Potted: rooted plants potted in a net pot with rockwool — maximum stability and a low-maintenance setup.

Ordered over a dozen plants for a new 20 long, mainly in the petite/small varieties. Was concerned how they would considering most were grown emerged I thought for sure the crypts would suffer some melting. My concerns were for not. I have waited several weeks after receiving them to give a complete review. I am three weeks since planting, nothing has melted. Nothing has died. Almost all have grown new leaves. I cannot be happier. Aquarium Plant Factory will be my go to for plants as long as I continue in the hobby.
Received them with tiny leaves, much smaller than nana petite. but after 3 months under highlight, high ferts and high co2, they just turn into regular anubias Nana petite. Plant itself is healthy, but it is not "super petite" so I gave it 3 stars.
I received 3 of these Anubias super mini plants (2+1 deal) in good shape. They’re small, but I got them hoping they would be as small as in the photos (either that or it must be a big hand!). I already had Anubias petite nana in another tank and it’s offspring are smaller than these...
You can see me holding the offspring of the nana I already had with forceps next to the ones I received. They are healthy, but not as small as advertised...

The plant itself looks adorable and is super healthy, doing alright in quarantine. My only problem was that I ordered the buy two get one free and I only received one lose rhizome. Great experience otherwise
This plant came healthy and on time. It is significantly smaller than normal anubias and is an excellent option for scaping small tanks without an overgrown look. Here's a picture of it next to some normal sized anubias barteri in my tank (with my largest ghost shrimp for scale!) This is only a few days after arrival and a good representation of what Aquarium Plants Factory ships.
Came in healthy and not crushed. I ordered 3 other species. All came individually packed and moist. Took 4 or 5 days to arrive but i ordered on a Thursday afternoon and i dont think the mail runs on the weekend.

Anubias 'Super Petite'
This plant arrived health and in excellent condition. I am experimenting with keeping this plant floating near the top of the water. While the plant does not seem intended for this purpose, it adds interest as a glossy dark element and a unique color and texture to the existing surface and near-surface plants.

Came in super green and fresh looking but is very small as advertised. Also arrived a day or 2 early!! Will order again!!
It is tiny. Five leaves are smaller than my thumbnail! It's been growing strongly since i put it in my aquarium. But it's so small, it's gonna take a hot minute to 'grow in' like i envisioned. Perhaps i should just get more. :)
