Grower’s Notes

• This is the Singapore variant, which keeps its purple emersed as well as submersed — unlike standard Bacopa salzmannii, which greens up out of water. That makes it the one worth using in wabi-kusa, paludariums and dry start setups.
• Rinse the gel off completely before planting. Any nutrient gel left on the roots clouds water and feeds algae in the first weeks.
• Separate the cup into small clumps of a few plantlets each rather than planting it as one block — tissue culture stock establishes faster with space around it.
• Tissue culture plants are grown emersed and will convert to submersed growth over two to three weeks. The first leaves may melt; new growth from the tips is the sign it has taken.
• Also available as loose fresh-cut stems if you want larger plants immediately.
