Ludwigia Pantanal, also referred to as Ludwigia Meta, is a crown jewel among aquatic stem plants—prized for its electrifying display of deep red and fiery orange tones. Native to the Pantanal wetlands of South America, this finely textured, whorled-leaf species transforms any aquascape into a vibrant masterpiece when grown under optimal conditions.
At Aquarium Plants Factory’s nursery, we cultivate this plant in its emersed form, where it develops upright green stems and slender leaves. When submerged in a high-tech aquarium with strong lighting, CO₂ injection, and a nutrient-rich substrate, it undergoes a dramatic transformation—producing striking coloration and bushy vertical growth. Its finely whorled leaf arrangement and vibrant tones make it one of the most stunning midground to background plants in the hobby.
