Grower's Notes

• Plan for losses and it's still the cheaper route. At bulk pricing, even a proportion of duds costs less per grown plant than buying sprouted bulbs individually — which is the whole reason this pack exists.
• Set each bulb on the substrate, don't bury it. Press it in far enough to stay put and leave the top exposed; buried bulbs rot rather than sprout.
• Discard any bulb that is soft or shows rot before planting. One rotting bulb fouls the water around it.
• Root tabs are not optional. In inert gravel these stay small and green instead of coloring up.
• New growth usually appears within 10 to 15 days. Dormant bulbs may take longer — leave them in place before writing them off.
