Purple is rarer than red in a planted tank. Rotala ramosior 'Florida' is one of the few stem plants that gets there — lavender through to deep violet under strong light and CO₂, on upright stems with narrow leaves in opposite pairs. This is the sterile Vitro Culture® format, so it arrives free of snails, algae and pesticides.

Grower’s Notes
- Tissue culture buys you a clean start, not an easier plant. The color still depends on light, CO₂ and iron. What the sterile bag removes is the risk of introducing snails or algae to a shrimp tank.
- Rinse the gel off completely before planting or it clouds the water and feeds algae in the first weeks.
- Divide the portion into small clumps of three or four plantlets and plant them an inch apart rather than as one mass.
- Expect the first growth to look green and weak. Submerged color arrives with the second set of leaves.
- Also available as fresh-cut and potted Rotala ramosior 'Florida' if you don't need a sterile start.
