Want round leaves at nano scale? Anubias Petite Coin is a cross between Anubias Barteri Round (Golden Coin) and Anubias Nana 'Petite' — it takes the thick coin-shaped leaf from one parent and the compact size from the other, giving you a shape no other small Anubias has.

Grower’s Notes

• The round leaf is the point. Most small Anubias have spade or lance-shaped leaves. Petite Coin's near-circular leaves give a distinctly different texture on the same hardscape — which is why it works as a detail accent rather than a filler.
• Never bury the rhizome. Roots can go into substrate; the rhizome cannot. Buried, it rots — the most common way an Anubias is lost.
• Thick waxy leaves hold up in tanks that shred softer plants, which is why Anubias survives with cichlids and large fish where most planting fails.
• Those same broad leaves are good grazing surfaces for shrimp as biofilm develops.
• Divide with a clean blade, keeping at least three leaves per section. The full-size parent is Anubias Round Leaf (Golden Coin).
